In a bizarre partnership that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also introduces the game's newest free story episode, titled "The Enigma."
